The National Catholic Sisters Project

We were approached by the University of the Incarnate Word in 2017 with a pitch for a series that spotlit women religious and the work they do at the local level and for the greater global community, as well as their history in America and abroad. The objective was to give insight into the lifestyles and careers of these women and how they came to choose the path of a sister.

This appeared to be an opportunity for telling the stories of people who do great community service, who normally fly under the radar. That in and of itself was stirring but we were not prepared for the depth and impact of their work. From building radio stations in Sudan to marching with Cezar Chavez in California, or fighting human trafficking at the Super Bowl, these women are incredible and incredibly humble.

A special thanks goes out to the University of the Incarnate Word and the Hilton Foundation for ensuring their stories are being told and for trusting us to handle a slice of who they are with care and intention. Hundreds of hours of interviews and on location footage over the course of three years adds up to one of the big bright spots for us and what we do.
